An exceptional and hard to find full 10 drawer Architect/ Plan chest of drawers produced for Staverton. The drawers were originally supplied to Staverton RAF Base but later found their way to local Government and BT offices. We bought them from a private owner who purchased the drawers from his employer before retirement. The chest and drawers have been fully refurbished. All of the drawers run as they should. Internally the drawers are very clean. All in all a pretty unique and gorgeous piece!
We adore the design, colour and size of the chest. A very rare find in this condition. The chest splits in to two sections for transportation and siting.

An amazing desk in solid English oak, dating from the early 1930’s. These desks typically came from a Government office/ Public Service such as Civil Servant Offices, Schools, Railways etc. This desk came to us in a dreadful state of old varnish and paint. We fully (and painstakingly) stripped the desk back to bare wood before refurbishing it and sympathetically restoring the colour and aged finish. It is now presented in a warm oak, retaining signs of wear and use to maintain the character and authenticity of the desk. The beautiful aged brass cup handles also carry the GR stamps. There are cosmetic marks and signs of use to the original green top. Please see photographs.
Two drawers have been sanded back and cleaned internally, one required a new bottom liner. They all retain their original beautifully aged brass cup handles. We have had a number of these George V and George VI desks and they always sell so so quickly.
This will only get better with age and appreciate in value. A superb quality antique desk.

A very clean set of teak drawers by UNIFLEX. Designed by Gunther Hoffstead and Peter Hayward, UNIFLEX brought revolutionary design in the 1950’s and 60’s, competing with G Plan, Ercol and the other large names. UNIFLEX offered more minimalistic designs that were not so popular in the mid Century but clearly very much appreciated now. This chest of four graduated drawers has a very clean and classic design. Constructed from teak and teak veneer the piece has some quality touches, such as the top drawer parquetry. The drawers are in good original condition, with just one small area of old repair/ infill at the rear right hand corner (see photograph). All four drawers are very clean inside and run exactly as they should.
The top drawer retains the original UNIFLEX stamp for authenticity. All handles are original.
This would make a super design statement piece in your space.

A heavy porcelain double sided LADIES LAVATORY sign that dates to the early 2oth Century (circa 1910’s to 1940). We purchased it from a private owner that claimed the sign was from a demolished toilet block in Kew Gardens; though clearly we have no provenance to prove this. It is heavy at circa 10 kgs. It could be wall mounted as is or framed and hung. We just think it is a gorgeous piece of English heritage and would look fantastic in the right setting e.g. a bar or restaurant in SW London.
We wouldn’t trust sending this via parcel services as it could easily be broken. It will be sent via couriers or delivered by us if close enough.
